MCR Property Group has expanded its Sheffield student accommodation portfolio with the acquisition of Truro Works, a 237-bed scheme located on Matilda Street, right next to Sheffield Hallam University. This acquisition marks MCR’s second student scheme in Sheffield, joining Park Village, and further strengthens the Group’s presence in one of the UK’s most dynamic university cities. Originally built in the 1840s, Truro Works is a Grade II listed building with deep roots in Sheffield’s industrial heritage. Once home to Atkin Brothers, one of the city’s most prominent cutlery manufacturers, the property has been reimagined as a purpose-built student accommodation scheme combining history with contemporary living.
