Acquired in May 2025, Clanny House is a 629-bed student accommodation scheme situated directly opposite Sunderland Royal Hospital and within easy reach of the University of Sunderland. Following the acquisition, MCR immediately launched an intensive 14-week, multi-million pound refurbishment programme across the entire site. This transformative upgrade delivered brand-new furniture, modernised kitchens and bathrooms, and revitalised communal areas—ready for the 2025–26 academic year.
