MCR Property Group has completed the sale of The Moneycentre, the prominent city-centre building at 1 Drake Circus in Plymouth, to Homes England.
The disposal follows a strategic review of the Group’s portfolio and reflects a deliberate decision to concentrate capital, time and management resource behind the markets and operating platforms where MCR sees the strongest potential to create value at scale.
An MCR Property Group spokesperson said:
“The Moneycentre is an important Plymouth landmark and Homes England is well placed to lead its next chapter. For MCR, this was a disciplined strategic decision. Good property businesses are defined as much by where they choose to focus as by what they choose to acquire.
“We enter 2026 with exceptional momentum and one of the strongest growth pipelines in our history. Our priority is now to put our capital and people behind the locations, sectors and platforms where we can move decisively, build real scale and create the greatest long-term value. The trajectory for the Group is significant, and 2026 will be a major year for MCR.”
The transaction demonstrates MCR’s active approach to portfolio management, recycling capital where appropriate while continuing to pursue acquisitions, development and regeneration opportunities across the UK.
MCR’s 2026 programme will focus on expanding its core residential, commercial, student accommodation and hospitality platforms, supported by a substantial pipeline of investment and operational activity.
