About Us
Aneel Mussarat has been successfully buying, renovating and developing property since the early 1990s.
Aneel started the business at the age of 17; purchasing small terraced houses in Manchester that he would renovate and either let or trade.
The Group has grown substantially from a modest developer of terraced houses in Manchester to a national property company with in excess of £1bn gross assets. This substantial growth is a direct result of the dynamic and ambitious foresight of the founder and is a testament to Aneel's commitment to the business and personal resolve.

Professional Experience
Saj Akram began his career with MA Electricals in 1988 as an electrical contractor.
He went on to join Shaw Builder's Merchant in 1991 where he developed and leveraged
a wide builders network to grow the business.
Since joining Aneel Mussarat in 1994, Saj has been involved in all facets of the business from portfolio management to development and refurbishment. As head of the Development team, Saj has fostered a close working relationship with Manchester City Council and various North West local councils and has been instrumental in ensuring the Group was on the list of Preferred Developers at Manchester City Council.
Currently, Saj directly manages a team of 20 employees comprising: project managers, quantity surveyors and buyers and is also responsible for the Group’s in-house contractors, comprising of 200 employees.

Mark has acted for a number of institutional and property companies
including Morley Fund Management, Legal & General, British Land, Prudential,
St Modwen, UBS, Manchester Airport Developments and Development Securities.
Prior to joining MCR Mark ran the investment department of Colliers CRE in Manchester where he was responsible for co-ordinating acquisitions and sales across the north of England.

Professional Experience
Nick's main role at MCR is the management and growth of the residential
portfolio. Currently MCR has over 6,000 tenants both private and student,
in the North West and London.
The residential department has a large and diverse range of properties, from purpose built student halls to individual apartment blocks and houses.
Previous Positions
Nick has progressed through MCR's hierarchy, growing in tandem to the
company’s expansion. Nick has created a team of over 100 people and has
overseen a number of multi million pound residential acquisitions. He has
successfully implemented and integrated MCR's management style on all new
operations.

Professional Experience
A solicitor in private practice for over 38 years, Graham originally handled private client work but increasingly specialised in property related matters, particularly commercial property and finance.
Over this period, he acted for many property developers and dealers, in a number of substantial transactions, including Aneel Mussarat for whom he first acted in the early 1990s.
Previous Positions
Graham joined the firm of Wolstenholme Rainer & Macbeth in 1968 becoming a partner in 1970. He was a senior partner in that firm from 1998 until his retirement from private practice in 2006 when he joined the MCR Property Group.

Professional Experience
Carol is the Chief Financial Officer of the Group and is responsible
for: the Group's MIS, the management accounts and in-house audit.
Additionally, she manages the in-house finance team consisting of eight
employees.
Carol joined the Group in 2004 as part of an acquisition of the Student Village where she was acting as a business accountant. She has since progressed through MCR's hierarchy, growing in tandem to the company's expansion and has been responsible for several successful initiatives including the migration of information/management accounts onto a computer based system.
Prior to the Group, Carol was the Financial Controller of a publishing company. During her tenure, turnover for the firm rose from £400,000 to £3m with the number of staff rising proportionately.
